From red earth outback to the depths of the deep blue, animal enthusiast and adrenaline junkie Hailey journeys viewers through raw, rugged Australia. Eye-to- eye with reef sharks, wrangling a 16-foot salty croc, and “cuddling” constricting and potent-venom snakes, Outback & Under’s inaugural season follows the goofy host and her constant companion from the rainforest to the reef. Hailey, a former primetime American television journalist, who at just 30 “retired” from deadlines and the daily grind to explore life lived out of a backpack, straps on a scuba tank, grabs her gum boots and sets out to lead viewers on a wild ride.
With Sadie, the gentle Goldendoodle (or as the Aussies say, “Groodle”) by Hailey’s side, the two blondes board the privately owned 94-foot Sunseeker yacht, blinder, and cruise up the east coast in search of adventure. They explore one of the seven wonders of the natural world, the Great Barrier Reef then head over to crocodile country in the wild Australian outback. Armed with Pilot Scotty, Captain Kyle, Healthy Gourmet Chef Alessandra and Marine Biologists Cristiana and Josh, the team helps Hailey and Sadie experience the best of the best everywhere they go; extreme wildlife, beauty, adventure, food and fun. And along the way, of course there’s always drama!
